The classic Cornish pasty made with beef skirt, swede, potatoes and onion all wrapped up in a golden brown shortcrust pastry.
Ingredients
For the Shortcrust
500 gstrong bread flour
125 gcold salted butter (cubed)
125 gcold lard (cubed)
1 tspsalt
175 mlcold water
For the Filling
450 gbeef skirt
300 gfloury potatoes
150 gswede / rutabaga
to tastesalt
to tasteblack pepper
For the Glaze
1egg
1 tbspmilk
